No account needed, your data stays on your device. Your guarded apps, schedule, streak and progress live in local storage on your phone, and uninstalling removes everything. There is no analytics SDK and nothing to sell, because nothing is collected.
Android · Accessibility Service
MathLock uses the Android Accessibility Service only to detect when you open apps that you have chosen to lock. When a locked app is detected, a quick math challenge is shown before you continue.
The service only monitors which app is in the foreground. It does not read, collect, or share any screen content, personal data, or keystrokes. All data remains on your device.
You can disable the Accessibility Service at any time in your device settings.
iPhone · Screen Time
On iPhone, MathLock uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework to shield the apps you choose. When you open a shielded app, a quick math challenge is shown before you continue.
You pick which apps to lock through Apple's own app picker, and iOS handles that selection with private tokens. MathLock never sees the list of apps you selected, how you use them, or any screen content.
You can turn off Screen Time access for MathLock at any time in your device settings.
