Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

MathLock ("the App") is operated by ReelMoney ("we", "us", "our"), based in India. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information on both Android and iOS. Our guiding principle is simple: MathLock runs on your device and we do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on our servers.

By using the App, you agree to this policy and to the policies of the limited third-party services described in Section 4.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

MathLock stores the following information locally in encrypted on-device storage. It never leaves your phone:

• Guarded apps selection: the apps you chose to guard behind the math gate. On iOS this is an opaque token from Apple's private picker, not a readable list (see Section 5).
• Lock schedule: the times of day you have configured for the math gate to be active
• Game progress: your streak count, streak freezes, XP, completed challenges, and adaptive difficulty level
• Preferences: your chosen game modes, duel length (30 or 60 seconds), onboarding answers, and other in-app settings

When you uninstall MathLock, all of this data is removed with the app.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not read the content of any app you open
• We do not track which apps you use outside of MathLock
• We do not collect device identifiers, contacts, messages, location, microphone, camera, or photo data
• We do not send analytics, crash reports, telemetry, or marketing identifiers, and the App contains no analytics SDK
• We do not require an account, email, or phone number to use the App
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. There is nothing to sell, because nothing is collected.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses a small number of third-party services. Each is listed below with its purpose and a link to its own privacy policy.

• RevenueCat (both platforms): Manages your subscription or lifetime purchase. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and your store receipt to verify purchase status. We never receive your payment details. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing (Android): Processes the actual payment when you subscribe or buy the lifetime unlock on Android. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store (iOS): Processes the actual payment when you subscribe or buy the lifetime unlock on iOS. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. App Permissions and Why They Are Required

MathLock asks only for the permissions it needs to put the math gate in front of the apps you choose. The permissions differ by platform because Android and iOS lock apps in completely different ways. Each is used only for the stated purpose and never for tracking.

On Android

• Accessibility Service: Used only to detect which app is currently in the foreground so the math gate can appear at the right moment. The App does not read screen content, type for you, or use Accessibility for any other purpose.
• Display over other apps: Used only to paint the math gate above a guarded app.
• Schedule exact alarms: Used to start and stop your lock schedule precisely at the times you set.
• Receive boot completed: Used to re-arm your lock schedule after the device restarts. The App reads nothing else at boot.
• Foreground service (special use): A low-priority background service that keeps MathLock responsive at lock time. It performs no other work.
• Post notifications: Used to remind you a lock window is approaching or that your streak is at risk. Optional.
• Query all packages: Required so the in-app picker can list installed apps for you to guard. The list never leaves your device.

On iOS

The iOS version uses Apple's Screen Time framework to do the locking, so it never needs Accessibility, overlay, or package-listing access at all.

• Screen Time (Family Controls): Used only to shield the apps you choose at your lock times, through Apple's Family Controls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings frameworks. You pick the apps with Apple's private picker (FamilyActivityPicker), so MathLock never receives the list of apps installed on your device — Apple returns only an opaque selection token that even we cannot read.
• Notifications: Used to hand you the challenge when you tap the shield over a locked app, and for optional lock and streak reminders. Optional.
• Photo library (system share sheet only): The iOS build declares a photo-library usage string because the system share sheet, shown only when you choose to share MathLock with a friend, can route to Photos. MathLock never reads, scans, imports, or saves to your photo library; it shares a single bundled image card and a link.

6. AI and Machine Learning

MathLock does not use AI to generate content, transcribe audio, recognize images, or analyze your behavior. The math problems, sudoku grids, and cross math puzzles are generated by deterministic algorithms on your device, and the adaptive difficulty is a simple on-device calculation based on your recent results.

7. Data Storage and Security

Because data never leaves your device, security depends on the lock screen and disk encryption of your phone. The App uses encrypted on-device storage for all stored fields, and on iOS shares your lock settings with its own app extensions only through a private App Group container. The App does not operate any servers that hold your personal data.

8. Children's Privacy

MathLock is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will help you remove it.

9. Your Rights and Controls

• Delete all data: Uninstall the App. All on-device data is removed.
• Manage subscription: On Android, Google Play → Subscriptions. On iOS, Settings → your name → Subscriptions (or the App Store).
• Restore purchases: Tap "Restore purchases" on the paywall after reinstalling.
• Revoke permissions: On Android, Settings → Apps → MathLock → Permissions / Accessibility / Display over other apps. On iOS, Settings → Screen Time (to revoke Family Controls) and Settings → MathLock (for notifications). The App may not be able to guard your apps without them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
